Description of this 2003 X-Yachts X-612 For Sale

Overview - X-Yachts X-612:

Custom designed and built for a discriminating yachtsman planning circumnavigation, LEAMAR combines
unusual ease of handling with efficient and elegant living accommodations. She was built by X-YACHTS (Denmark) for unlimited ocean voyages. Now X-YACHTS stopped to manufacture such yachts, so it is a rare one!

It would be hard to believe that there could be a vessel better built, designed or outfitted for world cruising.
LEAMAR is being sold fully-found, completely refitted and in "like new" condition. 2003/2004/2005 years annual anti-fouling, service of all electric devices and parts (engine, generator, ect) were made. 2006 year fully serviced and renewed (teak, paint, ect) in Azimut-Benetti shipyard (Viareggio, Italy). It were no insurance or other accidents at all. Never been in charter. Only one owner.

X-612 - STATE OF THE ART

The design brief was to create a work of art representing the epitome of yachting; embodying timeless elegance and beauty, and combining performance with comfort, crafted by well proven techniques and materials from the most respected suppliers. Thus X-Yachts selected an all carbon hull and deck construction with carbon composite bulkheads and keel floor structures.
The X-612 mirrors the best one can offer of modern yacht design, modern boat technology, enabling a short handed crew to enjoy a sleek, attractive and comfortable yet fast cruiser.

During the all sea trips, the X-612 showed off her potential both in performance and in her ease of handling due to this vessel?s high degree of technical installations. The captive winches for mainsheet and main halyard allow the helmsman to stand relaxed behind the steering wheel and control the yacht?s trim and course. The only time the crew needs to get involved is when the helmsman asks for a tack. But even then the electric winches for the Genoa ensure that sheeting is done with the press of a button.

With all this technology on board, the fear could be that you loose the feeling of the yacht, but this is far from the case due to the detailed and individual design of keel, rudder and steering system. The X-612 is even easier to helm than other yachts, and she is stiffer, in addition to this her speed is impressive and she is a beauty on the water.

With a shorthanded crew and no one on the rail, the X-612 reached 9.0 knots with a breeze of 12 to 14 knots. Hoisting the Code 1 under these conditions gave a max boat speed just near 10 knots.

CARBON HULL AND DECK:

The full carbon hull and deck has given the yacht an extremely stiff and rigid construction and despite the luxurious interior the yacht has a light displacement of 34 tons.

Under engine in the picturesque Black, Red and Meditterranean seas, the high standard of the engine installation and noise insulation showed its capabilities. The noise level on deck was extremely low and also under deck it was quiet and comfortable. The 125 HP Yanmar engine provided speed up to 9.0 knots at 2500 rpm and with the 3-bladed MAX PROP folding propeller maneuvering into the harbour was secure and very responsive.

NEW INTERIOR STYLING:

The new interior styling and design has impressed her new owner. With the teak veneer paneling throughout the yacht and clear line layout this vessel sets itself apart from the more conventional designs in the market. At the same time the interior provides excellent quarters for family members and guests to enjoy themselves and relax on board the yacht.

The interior designers went into minute detail as to furniture design, and in close cooperation with X-Yachts? carpenters many new details were invented; for example the new corner designs that combine beauty with functionality i.e. ventilation of the wardrobes.

The X-612 hull was designed to suit the new owner?s needs, wishes and desires, and in a fine cooperation between owner and the yard a beautiful semi custom yacht was born. A yacht with appeal to owners who look for the extraordinary in life.

DETAILS AND PERFECTION:

For safety reason we have made one cockpit floor resessed compartment to fit a life raft. All control and trim lines are led under deck. Elegant cleats and the under deck Genoa furler are further examples of exquisite details that make the difference.
